Showroom Grand Opening Event

After years of dreaming and planning, and months of hard work by Christina and Thomas and all of the Simple Kitchens team, we officially opened the doors of our showroom to the general public.  It was a relief to finish the work and celebrate with more than 150 customers, team members, family and friends.  Mayor of Thame, Ann Midwinter,  cut the ribbon.  She said that while  Thomas and Christina are not from Thame, but had studied furniture making at Rycotewood  College 25 years ago, they were both “moulded by Thame”  –  which is true enough.

We were blessed by beautiful sunny weather and plenty of food and drink.  We were ably waited upon by our son Oliver and his friends who helped prepare the food as well.  It was wonderful to see so many customers who we have worked with over the past 20 years who came out to sing our praises and to celebrate with us.

We held a raffle to raise money for Sobell House Hospice, which provides invaluable service to those in need in the area.

We are now getting down to the day to day running of the business from the showroom.  We are so proud of the work we have done, it is hard not to pounce on every person who walks through the door and show them every detail!  I am sure I will calm down eventually.

Christina and I  will be ready with tea and coffee, so please come for a visit if you missed our official opening!
